*Baby Feet*

Okay, I know it has been a while since I have posted. I am sorry. I love to blog and read other people's too. Sometimes I just want to let everyone in the world know what I am feeling. Other times I would like to hibernate like a bear. LOL.

Now for the post. Baby feet! This might sound like a weird one but really it isn't. It is about Austin, of course. He is my baby. 2 years old but still my baby. Thursday as we were playing in the floor and getting ready to do some in home therapy I decided to put his AFO's on (leg braces). He wears these every day for at least a couple of hours. Today we would work on standing and possibly cruising. It was worth a try anyways. Okay so as I put his braces on it got me thinking. When I think baby feet, this is what I picture.

To you it might seem strange. To me not so strange. To me it is handsome. To me it is just a little help. Not strange. Austin is one Special Kid. He has changed my world so much. I would like to think I can now look outside the box a little more. I can accept things the way they are a little better. I believe in God and accept what he gives me. I can love like I never thought possible. I loved before Austin don't get me wrong. I have a wonderful husband and a mamma's boy "almost" 5 year old, Bryce. Something about Austin though just makes you feel good inside. He has that kind of power. From those chunky legs, to the cheesy smile, up to the crazy hair. I love it all. Especially those "baby feet".

Here are some pictures from our standing up with our AFO's. He stood up for a very long time. All he needed was Reese's Puffs. LOL. Bet you didn't think food would motivate my Chunky Monkey, did ya? :)

THANK YOU!

I could not say it enough. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, and some who did both. It really means so much to our family and all the little miracles at Special Kids. The pancake breakfast was a huge sucess. We raised over $1,500 for Special Kids and donations are still coming in. Marshall and I are both running The Middle Half Marathon in October for Team ASK (Athletes for Special Kids). Now for the hard part..training! LOL. Thank you all again and here is a little slide show from Saturday.

Pancake Breakfast

Hey everyone. I just wanted to tell you all about a pancake breakfast that we are having. Marshall and I have joined Team ASK (Athletes for Special Kids). Special Kids is where Austin gets therapy 5 times a week and also is in a skilled nursing program while I am working part time. It is really a fantastic group of people. We are so blessed to have them in our lives. Also many people do not know they are non-profit. That is where you come in. As part of our duty as Team ASK we will be raising $1,500 to run for Austin during the Middle Half Marathon. Feel free to look up more info about Special Kids or Team ASK at

Last week

First of all let me just say I am off work today for this reason.

Poor Austin. His allergies started getting really bad yesterday. He was up all last night but seems to be a little happier this morning. Thank you Benadryl.

Okay back to last week. I am off on Thursday every week and this week turned out to be really special. Thursday morning I had an unexpected call. It was an old friend that I haven't spoken to in a while. She was coming to Woodbury and wanted to stop by. She also has a little one, Brodie, who is absolutely adorable. He is a real mommy's boy too. Nothing wrong with that though. LOL. Aimee is also expecting another little one. It was so good to see her and her little guy and catch up.

Friday night we stayed with my mom in Smyrna because Marshall ran the Country Music 1/2 Marathon. I was so proud he finished in 1 hour 42 minutes. The boys, my mom, and I were at the finish line to cheer him and the rest of the runners on.
GREAT JOB HONEY!

Finally, we thought a day at the lake would be a great end to a great weekend. We also decided to take Valley with us and she was perfect. I can't believe she is only 4 months old. She is so big but a great dog. (most of the time) Bryce also caught 1 very "tiny" fish but he was very proud. LOL.

Easter Pictures

I did manage to get a few.

Easter Sunday

Hope everyone had a very happy Easter. It was a great day for us. We prayed a lot for all the people who were hit by the tornado. I still am every day. I feel so lucky that my family was safe.
While Bryce was hunting eggs after church he would pick one up, open it to see what was in it, then put it in his basket. LOL. I tried to get a good picture of him but every time I had my camera out he would put his hand over his face. No family picture this year. :-( Marshall did manage to get one good one of the boys with his phone. We went for Sunday dinner at my parents house and Bryce loves the rocking chairs there.

Bath Time

Austin is really starting to LOVE his bath time. Sorry, no Bryce bath pictures. I think at 4 1/2 they are a little too old for that. LOL. We will have to post something special for him later.

Austin is *2*

My little man turned 2 years old on March 20th, 2009. I really can't believe my baby is getting so big. We had some fantastic pictures that day. You can view them at www.gambillphotography.com They will be up for another week or so. The next day we had a great time at the Nashville Zoo. Here are some picture from our day at the Zoo.
